Giant, Acme, Wegmans and now Sprouts.

Philadelphia has a variety of grocery stores that you can choose from for all your grocery needs. Organic or locally grown, any of these stores have what you are looking for. Soon you will be able to add Sprouts to your marketplace list.

Sprouts, located at 1000 South Broad Street, will be the only store in Pennsylvania, so future Lincoln Square residents will be extremely fortunate to rent there. Sprouts has a mission to provide the healthiest options to customers as possible so everyone can have the choice for a better, healthier lifestyle.  The grocery store was founded back in 1943 and has always been passionate about healthy eating. Not only does Sprouts ensure the promise for fresh produce, but they also promise to give back to the community they serve by volunteering and support local events. All over the nation, this past year alone, Sprouts stores supplied more than 2 million meals to families in need during the “Grab ‘N’ Give” holiday food drive. The grocer also donated more than 16,000 pounds of food and water to Hurricane Harvey and Irma victims as well as raised over $350,000 for the American Red Cross. Local nonprofit organizations also received $2.2 million in support and 830 community events were supported through volunteering and in-kind donations.

The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, founded in 2015, is another brainchild of the grocery chain which dedicates time, energy and money to the community it supports. Sprouts partners with many different organizations including REAL School Gardens, Vitamin Angels, and Autism Speaks in order to promote health education and nutrition, help people with disabilities and other health concerns and, of course, alleviate hunger and food security when possible.  So why not get your groceries AND benefit your community?
